Happy International Animation Day! Today the International Animated Film Association commemorates the 13th annual celebration dedicated to the art of animation. It also marks the first public performance of Charles-Émile Reynaud’s Théâtre Optique in Paris in 1892. Observed in over 50 different countries, International Animation Day encourages organizations to screen animated films and host workshops, and support artists in promoting their creations. We’ll be supporting this holiday by binge watching Disney flicks on Netflix, but if you have the chance to get out to one of the many events around the world, go for it!
