Happy birthday, Sia Furler! The pop star and songwriter best known for her hits “Chandelier” and “Elastic Heart” turns 40 today. Born in Adelaide, Australia, Sia was exposed to music and entertainment from an early age as her parents were both involved in the industry. Sia later moved to England to pursue a music career, singing with electronica group Zero 7 after singing backup for Jamiroquai. She signed on with Dance Pool in 2000 launching her solo career and producing her first album “Healing is Difficult” with the hit single “Drink to Get Drunk.” After permanently leaving Zero 7, she went on to write songs for Christina Aguilera, Rihanna, Madonna and Beyoncé. Her album “100 Forms of Fear” released in 2014 reached NO. 1 on the U.S. charts, yielding the artist four Grammy nominations for the song “Chandelier.”
