‘Tis the season for giving, and Facebook is making it easier for people to donate to their favorite nonprofits. The social media giant has just launched its fundraiser pages, complete with improved donate buttons. Previously the button was only available for ads, but now they appear on the nonprofit’s actual Page and posts. Currently the new features are live for only three nonprofit partners – Mercy Corps, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and World Wildlife Fund. Over the holiday season more than 30 other nonprofits will also receive access to them. For now it’s free for these organizations, but a small fee will eventually be charged in the coming year. Thankfully, it will be, at least, no more than the industry standard.
