Need a little motivation to get through this Tuesday? Sunday,
Harriette Thompson from North Carolina became the oldest woman
to ever run a marathon. The 92-year-old crossed the finish line
with her son, 56, completing all 26 miles of the Suja Rock ‘n
Roll Marathon held in San Diego. Thompson began running at the
seasoned age of 76 after discussing running to raise money for
charities with a friend. Thompson, a two-time cancer survivor
herself, now runs to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma
Society. Today, she has raised more than $90,000 for the cause,
running 16 marathons in the process. Way to go, Harriette!
