The vets are returning from an all expenses paid trip to visit their war memorials
Clearwater, FL (June 23, 2015) – Several hundred friends and family will gather at PIE this Tuesday evening to welcome home and thank over 80 veterans. Each veteran has been selected to receive an all expenses paid trip to DC to visit their war memorials. The flight will depart PIE at 6:00am and return at 8:15pm to a sea of hundreds of supporters – all be wearing red, white and blue and holding thank you signs and banners.
As a professional guardian and President of the Guardian Association of Pinellas County, I have the opportunity to meet and help many veterans however; it is amazing to see the look on the veterans’ faces when they see their memorials for the first time. And nothing touches me more than their arrival back to the airport to the hundreds of people thanking them for their service.” said LynnMarie Boltze, Board President of GAPC.
When: Tuesday June 23rd at 8:15pm
Where: St. Pete Clearwater Airport (PIE)
